Saalbach is the main center of Skicircus, the name for the whole ski resort which consists of dozens of ski slopes and cable ways connecting them one to another. Except for Saalbachu there are three more ski towns – Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn.

Given the sheer number of kilometers of ski slopes Skicircus has great advantage. There are the easiest as well as the most difficult. Long valley is surrounded by mountains exceeding two thousand meters. There are, however, no glaciers and ski resorts work only during the season. Cable cars have stations in the towns of Hinterglemm and Saalbach and run up to all summits around. There are routes connecting the summits thus so skiers can ride the whole valley.

So lets take a look at  the towns . Indeed, the first place we go to is Saalbach. People loving atmosphere of skiing are the most frequent guests to this town. Ski slopes are usually south oriented. There are blue and red ski slopes which are suitable for children to on ride them . Ski slopes are equipped with cable cars or char lifts. in case of Kohlmaiskopf mountain both types stretch up one next to another.

Schattberg Ost mountain creates background in the east behind beautiful hotels. Those who love black ski slopes will be excited. a cable car runs right from the town center up to the mountain. Short ski slopes from which you can see the landscape are also very nice. Another thing you can do is to seamlessly ride down the northern slope. it is the longest ski slope in the resort. Its total length is 8 kilometers. the best experience you can get in the morning, however, towards the end large bumps will test the strength in your legs.

An cable car takes you up. However, the view of Kaprun glacier from Wildenkarkogel mountain will certainly energize you. you can return along the ridge where people relax on camp beds to Saalbach. Another option is to go to Leogang. Is it worth to travel there? you will find out next time.
