SK, Mengusovce – Cross-Country Ski Paradise

This time aroudn we will not admire sights like an evangelical churuch, Roman-Catholic church of St Thomas, baptist prayer room and so on. This time we will go to Pastyrska mustek an area where the Mengus cross-country ski paradise was constructed. There is an informational panel. the beginning and the start of the individual cross-country ski circuits are situated there as well as a small car park.

Paradise is in this case 19 kilometers of well maintained cross-country ski tracks. There are three interconnected circuits. the altitude difference is something about 100 meters therefore even less fit skiers can easily ride there. the yellow trail of Roven is 3 kilometers long. Soltyska with its 7,5 kilometers is considerably longer. Last but not least there is a 8,5 kilometers Mengus circuit.

All tracks are well maintained and we highly recommend you to find out about the current condition of the track on town's official website. Also you may learn if there are any races to take place.

One of the few cross-country ski circuits in Slovakia is in the one in Mengus area. Snow cannons are covering the track with artificial snow. so when it gets frosty outside you don't have to worry about there not being any snow. the entrance into the area is free of charge. However you may buy stickers to help with some cash.

Mengus cross-country ski paradise is the best place for people who love winter activities. in the basin below the tatras, you may enjoy amazing vistas over the high pyramidal peaks of the Low Tatra mountains. Moreover, you will improve your physique and will feel good about doing sport activities.
